TexelNest is located in the “Residence de Pelikaan” apartment complex, close to the vast North Sea beaches and the small tourist town of De Koog. The adjoining forest paths (hiking, mountain bike and bicycle paths) lead into the dunes, and from there you have direct access to the sea and beach.

This lovingly and high-quality furnished two-bedroom apartment was renovated in 2019/20 and is fitted with smooth plaster walls, ceiling spots, pocket doors and underfloor heating.  The “TexelNest” thus became a place of well-being, equipped with comfortable furniture, design classics and artistic objects. Despite the modern, minimalistically plain language of form and colour, the 50 sqm apartment radiates an equally cosy comfort and warmth. The beautifully designed bedroom is furnished with a 180 cm wide double bed. The pocket spring mattress and fine bed linen promise a restful sleep.  

The small Villeroy & Boch bathroom with shower also has room for a washer-dryer, which allows laundry to be washed and dried quickly if necessary. 

Excellent WiFi is naturally included.

The fully equipped kitchenette contains tasteful cooking and eating utensils and high-quality, functional appliances (e.g. induction hob, oven-microwave combination, professional knifewear, blender etc.), so that cooking too can be a pleasure if you don’t feel like dropping in to one of the many extremely good Texel restaurants or a cosy beach pavilion. In fact, there’s even highly recommendable star-rated cuisine to be found on Texel. 

A small, partially covered terrace with comfortable and cosy teak furniture and a wonderful view of the Texel forest, including the chirping of a variety of birds, will make every nature lover’s heart beat faster if you just want to relax here at the house or enjoy the sun on the deckchairs. 

However, Texel offers a wide range of leisure, nature and cultural experiences, so you’ll probably only round off your day out on the terrace when the sun comes down in the evening.  

Potential activities range from water sports of all kinds, parachuting, golfing, horse riding, cycling, hiking, various museum visits, bird or seal excursions, strolling in the beautiful towns or rustic villages, and, and, and ... 

We’ve put together an extensive folder with recommendations for you, so that you’ll never be bored in any season or weather. Indeed, your holiday is guaranteed to be too short and you’ll find a reason to “have to” come back, even if you feel like doing exactly the same thing again, because it’s just so beautiful on this island and in this cosy nest.

One more thing:
In the adjoining “De Pelikaan” hotel, which also has a bar and restaurant, you can book the fresh bread service, bicycle rental or a sauna.
Behind the hotel there are also the apartment complex’s parking facilities.
